Weights are the standard's reference values in kg per metre; walls are minimum–maximum from Table 4 of IS 4984:2016 as amended by Amendment 2. Inside diameter ≈ OD − 2 × minimum wall (the largest possible hole). Real pipes vary slightly within the wall tolerance.

    Questions people ask

How much does PE100 PN 20 pipe weigh per metre?

PE100 PN 20 HDPE pipe is made to SDR 7.4. In 110 mm it weighs 4.526 kg per metre with a 14.9–16.5 mm wall; the range runs from 0.100 kg/m at 16 mm to 302.219 kg/m at 900 mm.

    What does PN 20 mean?

PN 20 is a nominal pressure of 20 bar — about 200 metres of water head — that the pipe is rated to carry continuously with water at 27 °C, worked out from the plastic's 50-year strength at 20 °C (MRS).

Which sizes are made in PE100 PN 20?

28 sizes, from 16 mm to 900 mm, all at SDR 7.4.

Do other grades have the same wall as PE100 PN 20?

The wall depends on SDR (7.4 here), not the grade, so the weight is identical — but the pressure rating changes: PE80 at SDR 7.4 is PN 16.
